Editor's Desk
Welcome to the March edition of Pacific Flyer.
We have all been trying to settle back into the swing of things after enjoying the Christmas break, but before our well-earned break, the February issue needed to be completed.
The article 'Flying on Phillip Island' brings back some memories of my early days of flying, when I also did a few touch and goes on that very strip. It was pretty windy down there, but then again I did learn to fly at Tooradin in Victoria, which could also be quite windy most of the time - so crosswind landing were pretty much the usual. It certainly does teach you to take control of your aircraft!
In this edition we have obtained some silver coins from the 'Perth Mint'. These coins are beautifully crafted, and would make a great addition to any collection. The coins will be offered, along with a free subscription for suitable articles, which are sent in to us for publication - so don't miss out. There are also some very nice books on offer. See page 42 for details.
Hope you enjoy this issue
